Our Requirements & Standards
These requirements exist for one reason: to keep every pet in our care safe, comfortable and healthy — yours included.
Every pet that comes through our door meets the same standards. And everything we ask of you, we match with our own commitment on our end. Here is what that looks like for both sides.
What every pet needs before any service
Your pet must be in good general health at the time of their visit or stay. We are not vets and are not fully equipped to care for pets that are actively ill, recovering from surgery or require medical monitoring beyond standard medication administration.
If your pet is unwell in the days before their booking, please let us know as soon as possible. We would discuss options with you.
All pets must be up to date on their vaccinations before any service begins. Proof of vaccination is required — please send this to us via WhatsApp before your booking is confirmed.
For puppies and kittens: Full set of vaccinations required.
For adult dogs and cats: Annual vaccinations must be current. However you can also give us your pets recent vaccination titer test results instead.
For senior pets: Vaccinations are not required if your vet has provided a letter confirming they are medically exempt.
The most common vaccinations we look for:
| Pet | Vaccination |
|---|---|
| Dogs | DAPP (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus & Parainfluenza) |
| Dogs | Bordetella |
| Dogs | Rabies |
| Dogs | Leptospirosis |
| Dogs | Canine Influenza |
| Cats | FVRCP (Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus & Panleukopenia) |
| Cats | Rabies |
Not sure which vaccinations your pet has had? Check your pet's medical card or with your vet before reaching out to us — they will have the full records.
All pets must be completely free of ticks and fleas before arriving. This protects not just the other pets in our care but your own pet — a tick or flea infestation spreads quickly in a shared environment and is distressing for everyone.
Please check your pet thoroughly before drop-off. If we discover ticks or fleas during their stay, we will bathe them with tick and flea shampoo, feed preventive medication and charge it to your pet's stay.
We assess every pet individually — there are no blanket breed bans except those by the Malaysian government. What matters to us is temperament, socialisation history and how honest you are with us about your pet's behaviour.
If your pet has a history of aggression, resource guarding, separation anxiety or any behaviour that others should know about — please tell us upfront. This is not grounds for automatic rejection. It is information that helps us care for them properly and keep everyone safe.
We reserve the right to decline or end any booking if a pet displays behaviour that puts other pets or our team at risk. This decision is never taken lightly and will always be communicated to you directly.
Once you have confirmed your service and dates with us, we will send you an intake form via WhatsApp. This must be completed before your booking is finalised.
The form covers:
- The service you are booking and your dates
- Your pet's diet, allergies and feeding routine
- Socialisation history and temperament notes
- Any medications, vitamins or supplements your pet needs during their time with us
- Emergency contact details
- Terms and conditions
Please read the form carefully and fill it in as thoroughly as you can. The more detail you give us, the better we can care for your pet.
What you can expect from us
We clean throughout the day — not just at the start and end. Floors are swept and mopped regularly. Bedding, towels and curtains are washed. Food bowls and toys are cleaned frequently. Litter boxes are cleared daily.
We live here alongside your pets. A clean space matters to us for the same reason it matters to you.
All rooms where pets are kept are monitored by CCTVs so we can check on behaviour and wellbeing at all times — even when we are in another part of the house.
Dogs are introduced to new dogs gradually and carefully at check-in. Where needed, we use playpens to manage energy and prevent friction while everyone gets comfortable. We watch, we adjust, we intervene early.
For cats, each family has their own private, fully enclosed room with secured windows and proper ventilation. No cat family shares a space with another.
You will receive photos and videos via WhatsApp throughout every day of your pet's stay or visit. We monitor every pet's eating, drinking, energy levels and behaviour throughout their stay.
If anything seems off — a change in appetite, unusual lethargy, any sign of discomfort — we will contact you immediately and consult our trusted vet if needed.
Have questions about our requirements & standards?
If you are unsure about any of the above — whether your pet's vaccinations are current, whether your breed is suitable, or anything else, just ask. We would rather answer a question now than have any confusion on the day.
